Important Dates and Deadlines
May 1 – Possession deadline for cattle. Animals must be registered in the exhibitor’s sole name (no multiple owners) on or before this date Completed scholarship applications must be postmarked on or before this date.
May 10 – Entry deadline (cattle and contests). Must be postmarked on or before this date. Queen and Princess Contest and TJBA Director applications due, also.
May 20 – Late entry deadline (with $50/head late fee). Must be postmarked on or before this date.
May 21 – Last date to book hotel rooms within TJBA room blocks
May 28 – Sponsorship forms and money must be postmarked on or before this date to guarantee printing in the official show program
June 1 – Exhibitor’s age on this date determines age class/division
June 12 At 5 PM, exhibitor check-in closes:
- Entry forms for the All Around contest must be completed and turned in by that time.
- Thank you notes (stamped and addressed) to the sponsors secured by each exhibitor must be turned in by that time.
August 31 – Thank you notes for awards/premiums won by exhibitors during the show must be submitted to TJBA (instructions inside packet)

Wednesday, June 12
7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Cattle may begin arriving and checking in Noon Senior Scholarship Interviews
1:00 PM TJBA Director Interviews (Current Directors interview first in order to assist with exhibitor check-in)
2:00 PM – 5:00 PM Exhibitor check-in at show office Cattle must be in place and checked in by 4 pm, check in papers, poster & photography into show office
3:30 PM Queen & Princess Orientation
4:30 PM – 8:00 PM Welcome in the North Arena (come and go) Tailgate party-style food and games
5:30 PM Sales Talk Competition
Thursday, June 13
8:30 AM Public Speaking Contest
Must be checked in for contest by 7:45AM
Queen and Princess Interviews (following Public Speaking)
1:00 PM Bred & Owned Brahman Bull Show (Bred & Owned Females follow)
Friday, June 14
8:00 AM Brahman Bull Show. Brahman Female Show follows
6:00 PM Poster & Photo entries judged
7:00 PM** TJBA Membership Meeting, Herdsman Quiz, Pizza Party

Saturday, June 15
7:00 AM TJBA Board of Directors Meeting
8:00 AM F-1 Female Show
Showmanship Contest will begin 30 minutes after completion of the F-1 Show. Showmanship order is Queen and Princess Showmanship, Junior, Minor, Major, Senior, Showmanship Drive, and Pee-Wee Showmanship
7:00 PM TJBA Awards Banquet and Dance
Sunday, June 16
3:00 PM All cattle and tack must be removed from the barn
